 Read the book first. Seriously. Also, there is a great version of the audio book narrated by Jeremy Irons (who plays Humbert in the 1997 film). Personally, I think the 1997 film is better than the first one, but neither hold a candle to the book (or audiobook).

I recently reread the book that’s why I’m so eager to watch the movie! I’ll check out the 1997 version thank you :)
